How to Get Rid of Your Double-Chin

    September 29, 2008 by Mimi

How to Get Rid of Your Double-Chin
    (or Triple-Chin, etc.!) Naturally

Your double-chin may be inherited from your mother, or it could have been slowly accumulating due to the forces of gravity and time.
You may also be predisposed to a double-chin because of the shape of
your neck and jaw — and sometimes double-chins just happen, for no
    good reason at all.

    double-chin

    As
you age, the skin around your chin and neck loses elasticity. This can
easily lead to the appearance of a double-chin, particularly if you’re
    overweight.

One thing for certain is that most people who have a double-chin
want to know how to get rid of it. You may even have considered plastic
surgery, as liposuction to the chin can often remove the fat and
sagging skin that causes a double-chin in the first place. Of course,
plastic surgery is expensive and carries with it significant risks.

It’s also completely unnecessary because a double-chin can be eliminated naturally. (more…)

Whether you often have trouble falling asleep, or you want to make your bedtime routine easier, these tips will help you to fall asleep as soon as your head hits your pillow.

    1. Create a relaxing bedtime routine. Take a bath before bed, brush your teeth, get into your PJs and turn on some soothing music that will let your mind know it’s time for slumber.
    2. Go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning.
    3. Exercise, ideally everyday. This positive stress will tire out your body in a good way — just be sure not to exercise too close to bedtime (within three hours), as it could keep you up. (more…)

      Get Glam

How to Look like Glamorous Celebrities

What do Jennifer Lopez, Beyonc Knowles, Jessica Simpson and Christina Aguillera have in common? They are all Hollywood celebrities whose faces have graced numerous magazine covers, whose presence have lit up the silver screen or the TV screen, whose voices have been heard echoing on the air waves. But more than that, they are the living personifications of glam!

The glam look has seen its heyday in the seventies, when disco fever was all the rage, and women partied nearly all the time dressed in metallic colors, sequins and huge diamonds. The glam lifestyle is full of style, extravagance and, as the name itself implies, glamour.

      My Fav Colour

      September 26, 2008 by Olgita

      No, it isn’t pink. Definitely.

      Sorry?

      Have I seen what?..

      The site name?..

      Oops… Still, it’s not pink!

On a dull wet autumn evening, it’s bright yellow and orange of candlelight or even a log-fire, if and when I can afford such extravagance.

After a hectic working day in an office room with walls of pale blue I like to rest my eyes on the delicate green of the lawn grass, amber columns of pine trunks touched by the sunlight, or the blossoming white of apple-trees… Yes, I do admit pink blossoms are beautiful, too!

I like the many colours the sea can acquire — from emerald green through light blue on a sunny day to the steel-gray of a coming storm. Oh, gray can be beautiful too — especially if this is the eye colour of someone very special.

But the most magnificent shades are the ones I can watch daily from the balcony facing west. It is the purple and crimson of a sunset, ending the busy day and ushering in a night of rest, of dreams, shrouding the common and everyday in mystery. And then comes the new dawn…

Ok, one of its colours is pink! :)

Smiles are special. In any culture, a smile shining on the lips of any shade and shape has something positive to say – from almost aggressive assurance to enigmatic thoughtfulness through a range of other sentiments.

Smile is related to laughter – but it is milder and softer, with a shade of quiet contentment. Even a sad smile has a placid tone about it – so, what shall I say about a smile that is not just a happy one but is capable to make me happy?

First and foremost, it is real. There are too many imitations, shiny but shallow, unable to reach the eyes and coming from anywhere but the heart. Such smiles can make amused at best, not happy. This one is different.

It is caused by something good. I mean, truly good. I am not a guilt-driven “morality rules fanatic”, and may God keep me from preaching here – but I can rarely share a sneer while looking at another person’s trouble… The smile I look for can be caused by a beautiful sunset, a scored goal, a delicious perfume, or – why not? – a reflection of someone else’s joy.

And finally – it is unique. When we love someone and see that person daily, happy we are if we can perceive and treasure every single smile flashing on their lips – no matter if we are the reason for it, or not.

I could go on for much longer and exhaust your patience with more descriptions. But it is around dawn time here, and I, being the lark in our couple, have a coffee to make and a beauty to wake. Good-bye, dear reader, and good morning darling!..

Even before her eyes open, I see a smile…

      The smile.

      Red Hot Look

      September 25, 2008 by Mimi

      By Anna Lynn C. Sibal

Many women shy away from wearing the color red because they believe that red is a color that is hard to pull off. Nothing screams the word “sexy” louder than wearing the color red, and some women just find it hard to deal with.

It takes attitude and supreme confidence to be able to wear the color red with flair. A woman who manages to do it with style is always seen to be as hot as the color she is wearing. And why not? Hot, she definitely is.

If you do not feel comfortable with wearing an all-red get-up, start with small touches until you get used to being clad in the color red. With even just a small touch, a spot of red is vibrant enough to give life to what would otherwise look as a drab outfit. (more…)
